With the technology that we have today many types of cancer can be treated with early detection, most people think that with a good health Insurance plan that most of the cost to treat cancer would be covered, Yes, a large amount of the cost of treatment will be covered but with many Insurance Companies network of doctors and hospitals getting smaller you might not be happy with care you receive.

One of the things to look at is what type of network does your insurance plan have, PPO, HMO, IPO many of these have no out of network coverage so to see a Specialist of your choice you might be out of pocket or in some cases like the PPO  if you go out of network your Co-pays, deductible and maximum out of pocket are twice as much as the in-network doctors.
